Makona Fraternity: The GENTLEMEN’S Club
Makona is a fraternity at McMurry University that was founded in the spring of 1978, the Makona Men’s Social Club of McMurry University has a standard of moral excellence and achievement. Makona was established by thirteen college students but has grown to increase its membership to hundreds of men, pledge class after pledge class. Its mission has been to promote leadership and scholarship and grow in fellowship and friendship within the club, the university, and the community. Through campus events such as Sing Song, Homecoming, or intramurals, Makona has always been a visible institution of the McMurry campus.
